Chiropractic Health & Wellness

At Lake Family Chiropractic, we hear your story and take a detailed history. To that end, we create an individualized treatment plan including assessment & diagnosis aimed at achieving the functional goals we set together. Treatment and therapy forms an integral part of our approach to treating the whole body, not just a complaint in isolation.

Prenatal Chiropractic Care

During pregnancy, the mother's body undergoes many changes; this adds pressure to the lumbar spine, pelvis, sacrum, and surrounding soft tissue areas. Webster technique is a tool used by chiropractors to reestablish the mother’s pelvic alignment and balance during pregnancy.

Postpartum Chiropractic Care

Postpartum care is fundamental to ensuring our patients’ long-term health and wellness. Chiropractic care can make the recovery process faster, normalizing pelvic and spinal movements, which are the most affected during prenatal and postpartum periods.  It can also address pain and discomfort caused by postural issues when breastfeeding, lifting baby in and out of bed, carrying car seats and more. Without correction, symptoms can worsen overtime.

Pediatric Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic care for infants, toddlers and children is extremely safe and healthy for your child. Wellness care for children can be an integral part of their lives. Chiropractic care during early times of growth allows for healthy development while also aiding in conditions such as colic, torticollis, bed wetting, digestive issues and many other ailments.

Dry Needling

A very fine needle is inserted through the skin and slightly into the deeper tissues where trigger points reside. Trigger points refer to bound up tight musculature that cause pain and tightness. Conditions that can be treated include, but are not limited to neck, back and shoulder pain, arm pain (tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, golfer’s elbow), headache to include migraines and tension- type headaches, jaw pain (TMJ), buttock pain and leg pain.

Cupping

Cupping is an alternative therapy that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. Cupping increases blood circulation in the area where the cups are placed. This treatment helps reducing muscle tension and promoting cell repair.
